Peace Building Strategies and Crisis Management in Europe

Within the framework of the regional peacekeeping strategies envisaged by the UN Charter, the European context is characterised by the presence of several organisations having troubles with operating in synergy: the European Union, the OSCE, and NATO. After having traced competences of the various organisations involved, the research will focus on the EULEX mission in Kosovo, which is a unicum in the panorama of crisis stabilisation operations, operating essentially at a civil level.
